Hai Jin

Hai Jin is a Cheung Kung Scholars Chair Professor of computer science and engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China. Jin received his PhD in computer engineering from HUST in 1994. In 1996, he was awarded a German Academic Exchange Service fellowship to visit the Technical University of Chemnitz in Germany. Jin worked at The University of Hong Kong between 1998 and 2000, and as a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California between 1999 and 2000. He was awarded Excellent Youth Award from the National Science Foundation of China in 2001. Jin is the chief scientist of ChinaGrid, the largest grid computing project in China, and the chief scientists of two National 973 Basic Research Program Project of Virtualization Technology of Computing System, and Cloud Security.

Jin is a Fellow of CCF, senior member of the IEEE and a member of the ACM. He has co-authored 22 books and published over 800 research papers. His research interests include computer architecture, virtualization technology, cluster computing and cloud computing, peer-to-peer computing, network storage, and network security.

 

Yuxi Fu

From February of 2000 to June of 2009, he served as the chair of the Department of Computer Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Currently he is a full professor of the Department of Computer Science, and is serving as the dean of the School of Software. He is the head of the BASICS Laboratory and the director of the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Computing and Intelligent Systems.

His research interest is in theoretical computer science. His publications cover the topics in type theory, semantics, constructive set theory, process theory and expressiveness of models. Currently he is working on a general theory that intends to give a uniform account of both the computation models and the interaction models. The overall goal of the general theory is to provide a foundation for the Model Theory, Program Theory and Computation Theory in Computer Science.

He is the winner of the National Distinguished Young Scientist Award, and is a member of the editorial board of Mathematical Structures in Computer Science.

 

Xinjun Mao

Xinjun Mao received his Ph.D. degrees in computer science from National University of Defense Technology of China in 1998. He was a visitor of University of Toronto, Oxford Brookes University. He is a distinguished member of the China Computer Federation (CCF), vice president of CCF Changsha chapter, and council member of CCF. His main interests are multi-agent systems, self-adaptive and self-organizing systems, crowdsourcing-based software engineering, autonomous robot software. He has published 5 books and more than 120 papers in various international conferences and journals. He also served as members of editorial board in 4 international journals, and PC chairs and members of more than 30 international conferences like IEEE SMC, SOSE, APSEC, AAAI, IJCAI, etc.

Kenli Li

Kenli Li, male, born in 1971, is currently a Professor and a PhD Supervisor at Hunan University (HNU), China. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Distinguished Member of China Computer Federation (CCF), and the Vice Chairman of CCF-Changsha. He is also the Dean of School of Information Science and Engineering, and the Director of National Supercomputing Center in Changsha. He received his PhD degree in Computer Software and Theory from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, he has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, USA. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, supercomputing, cloud computing, and big data. As a principle investigator (PI), he has been responsible for more than 10 research projects including the National Outstanding Youth Science Program and the Key Project granted by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has published more than 160 technical papers in the above areas including 44 papers on IEEE/ACM Transactions. Dr. Li is the General Co-Chair of the of the 25th International Conference on Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics (ParCFD), 2013, the fifteenth Conference on Algorithms and Architectures for Parallel Processing (ICA3PP 2015). He is currently the associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Computers.

Alfred Liu

Manages SAS R&D in Beijing; ever worked for world famous software companies and a fortune 100 company. Worked and studied in oversea for over 11 years; has rich experience in information technology and education of software engineering, and 15-year experience in business management and project management in foreign companies in China; experienced in build and management of R&D centers; interested in the relationships with domestic companies, governments and universities; has an earned PhD in computer engineering, and is a senior member of IEEE, member of CCF Task Force on Big Data, advisor of master program of data sciences in Tsinghua University, and external professor of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of sciences.

Wei Li

Dr Wei Li holds a PhD degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences China. He currently works for the School of Engineering & Technology, Central Queensland University (CQU) Australia. He has been the Head of Masters of Information Technology Programme of CQU. His research interests include dynamic software architecture, P2P volunteer computing and multi-agent systems. Dr Wei Li has been a peer reviewer of a number of international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, ELSEVIER Journal of Systems and Software and John Wiley & Sons Journal of Software Maintenance and Evolution: Research and Practice, and a program committee member of more than 30 international conferences.

 

Lei Shu

[M'07-SM'15] is a Lincoln Professor of University of Lincoln, UK and a Distinguished Professor in Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology. He is also the executive director of Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Petrochemical Equipment Fault Diagnosis, China. His main research field is Wireless Sensor Networks. He has published over 300 papers in related conferences, journals, and books in the area of sensor networks. He had been awarded the Globecom 2010, ICC 2013, and IEEE Systems Journal 2017 Best Paper Award. He has been serving as Editor-in-Chief for EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems, and associate editors for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Communicatons Magazine, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Access, etc. He has served as more than 50 various Co-Chair for international conferences/workshops, e.g., IWCMC, ICC, ISCC, ICNC, Chinacom, especially Symposium Co-Chair for IWCMC 2012, ICC 2012, General Co-Chair for Chinacom 2014, Qshine 2015, Collaboratecom 2017, Mobiquitous2018, Steering and TPC Chair for InisCom 2015; TPC members of more than 150 conferences, e.g., ICDCS, DCOSS, MASS, ICC, Globecom, ICCCN, WCNC, ISCC.

Xinghua Shi

Dr. Xinghua (Mindy) Shi is an assistant professor in the Department of Bioinformatics and Genomics in the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received her Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and M. Eng. and B. Eng. degrees in Computer Science from Beijing Institute of Technology, China. She was trained as a postdoctoral researcher and human genetics fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her research interests are the design and development of algorithms to solve large-scale computational problems in life sciences. Her current research is focused on integrating genome, transcriptome, epigenome and interactome profiles to study how genetic architecture affects biological processes and complex phenotypes at the systems level. She is also interested in complex network analysis, genetic privacy, and big data analytics in biomedical research.

Yao Lu

Dr. Yao Lu, a professor at School of Data and Computer Science, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), Doctoral supervisor, selected member in the ninth National Thousand Talents Plan. Currently, He is the deputy director of Data Science research institute of SYSU and Guangdong Province Key Laboratory of Computational Science, vice president of the High Performance Computing society of Guangdong Province, and Guangdong Computational Mathematics Society. His research interest focuses on medical imaging, medical data analysis and machine learning. He has chaired in a wide range of grants and funding, for instant, the Susan Komen Foundation, the most famous Breast Cancer foundation in the world, the National Science Foundation of China grant, Guangdong Province Frontier and Key Technology Innovative Grant, Cultivating Fund for China Department of Education Key grant. So far, he has published more than thirty papers on a number of well-known international academic journals.

Shaoliang Peng

Prof. Shaoliang Peng works in College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, in Changsha (HNU, Changsha, China), and National University of Defense Technology (NUDT, Changsha, China), and is an adjunct professor of BGI. He was a visiting scholar at CS Department of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) from 2007 to 2008 and at BGI Hong Kong from 2013 to 2014. His research interests are high performance computing, bioinformatics, big data, virtual screening, and biology simulation. He is the executive director of the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha and a professor of National University of Defense Technology, has published dozens of academic papers on several internationally influential journals, including Nature Communications, Cell AJHG, Genome Biology, Cancer Research, ACM / IEEE Transactions, BIBM and so on. He has participated in software development researches for the Tianhe supercomputer series, He has been involved in several projects from 973 Program, 863 Program, He has been deputy director of CCF Computer Application Committee, deputy director of biological information professional group in CCF, the chairman of YOCSEF Changsha (2016-2019), commissioner of AC Committee (2017-), member of the National Science and Technology Expert Group, member of the National Science and Technology experts, member of the CCF High Performance Computing, Big Data Special Committee, CCF Senior Member and Distinguished Speaker, He has also served as editors and associate editors of several international journals, including Executive Editors of International Journal of Biological Sciences, Associate Editor of Interdisciplinary Sciences: Computational Life Sciences International Journal, Executive Editor of the International Journal of Computer Science and Engineering (IJCSE), Associate Editor of the International Journal of Computing and Networking (IJHPCN), Associate Editor of the International Journal of Embedded Systems (IJES). His team won the first place in National Parallel Application Challenge Competition in 2014 and 2015, also awarded in IEEE International Scalable Computing Challenge 2015, 2017, and won gold medals in international iGEM competition in 2015 and 2016. At present, the highest citation frequency of his single article is 1179 and the highest citation frequency of his single SCI-include paper is 607, He also has 15 software copyrights as well as 16 patents. Min Zhu

Min Zhu received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Sichuan University of China in computer application in 1996, in applied mathematics in 2004, respectively. She joined the College of Computer Science of Sichuan University as an assistant in 1996, and at present she is a professor and vice dean, as well as the director of the Lab for Vision-Computing at College of Computer Science.

Yingtao Zhang

Yingtao Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2010. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology of HIT. Her current research interests include image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, and medical image analysis. Dr. Zhang has published more than 50 papers in academic journals and conferences including, IEEE T-IP, PR, UMB, ICPR, ICIP, etc. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Member of China Association of Ultrasound and Engineering Member.
